We are seeking a Utilities Maintenance Technician with experience in autoclaves and HVAC systems to join our Utilities team. This is a critical role that ensures our manufacturing environment remains compliant, efficient, and aligned with pharmaceutical industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on autoclaves, HVAC systems, LEV systems and other utilities equipment.
* Operate, perform checks on and manage maintenance of the site BMS, ensure that all HVAC systems associated with manufacturing areas meets all GMP and user requirements by performing and recording the required testing.
* Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to identify and resolve issues promptly.
* Document maintenance activities in accordance with SOPs and quality standards.
* Assist in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new utilities systems.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
* Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend procurement when necessary.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in maintaining autoclaves and HVAC systems in a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
* HNC, CTCB-I HVAC Qualification & P601 LEV Training preferred but not necessary.
* STM2 – Large porous load sterilizers preferred but not necessary.
* Strong understanding of GMP, FDA, and/or MHRA regulations.
* Technical qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC engineering (or equivalent) preferably time served.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
* Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
