Join the team behind FRIDAY – a premium print magazine for Muslim women.
We’re looking for a driven Media Sales Lead to work on our advertising and sponsorship sales. If you have a track record in media and marketing sales, understand how Muslim brands operate, and have experience selling print advertising, this is an opportunity to be part of a new media movement.
About the Role
This is a remote, commission-based position with high earning potential through a tiered commission system. You will be responsible for securing advertising and sponsorship deals for FRIDAY Magazine, working closely with our Editor-in-Chief to shape brand partnerships and monetisation opportunities. The role is central in the development of our media brands and as we expand into future titles, there’s room for this to grow into a permanent position.
Your Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development: Research, identify and develop sales opportunities that align with our magazine’s ethos and audience.
2. Account Management: Handle all advertising and sponsorship requests, nurturing and developing relationships, resolving issues and closing deals.
3. Media Kit & Sales Strategy: Work with the Editor to refine our media kit as we grow and explore new brand partnership opportunities.
4. Sales Admin: Oversee all aspects of the sales process, including contracts, invoicing, payments and artwork delivery to brief.
5. Growth & Expansion: Be responsible for increasing ad revenue across future magazine editions and potential new titles.
Who We’re Looking For
1. Experienced Salesperson with a background in media, marketing, or publishing sales.
2. Strong understanding of Muslim brands and audiences (you don’t need to be Muslim, but cultural awareness is key).
3. Self-motivated, proactive, and confident in negotiating and closing deals.
4. Experience in print ad sales is highly recommended.
5. Strong organisation and tenacity to manage leads, contracts, invoicing, and deadlines, and seek sales and conversion opportunities.
