We are seeking a committed and dedicated person to join our maternity team as a preterm birth midwife. This is a fixed term post to cover maternity leave commencing March 2025 for a nine month period.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will work collaboratively with the MDT to implement SBL V3 and its commitment to reducing preterm term birth. With an already established preterm clinic, we are committed to developing the role of the midwife within this specialist field.
Main duties of the job
UHNM is looking for an enthusiastic Midwife to play a decisive role in leading in the development of care and management of women, who are at increased risk of preterm birth, together with our Lead Consultant. You will also benefit from working closely with our fantastic Fetal Medicine will provide pregnant women with risk factors for preterm labour and birth with high quality, safe midwifery care in the antenatal period. The care will be evidence based and holistic in meeting women's individual needs and the midwife will be expected to work autonomously within the guidelines and sphere of professional practice. Act as a mentor and or preceptor as required. Act as a leader and effective role model, providing essentialmanagerial support in complex and sensitive situations.

1. Registered Midwife with current registration
2. Current NMC registration
3. Degree in Midwifery or equivalent degree level study in health related subject
