Our client is a successful clothing importer, supplying the UK, mainland Europe and international high street retailers with quality casualwear.
They are now seeking to recruit a Merchandiser to be office based at their HQ, close to Manchester.
The main purpose is to ensure timely delivery of product to their key customer accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Work closely with Account Managers on various customer accounts, whilst also being part of the Merchandise team managing orders across the vast stock range.
•Raise orders on our in-house PLMS system.
•Manage the critical path for orders.
•Liaise with the Account Managers, Design and Garment Technologist teams to ensure the smooth running of the critical path.
•Where relevant, order and / or send out labelling and packaging to suppliers.
•Manage press and photography sample requirements for customer orders.
•Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence resolving customer and supplier queries.
•Generate progress reports.
The ideal candidate will have:
•Experience in a similar apparel, import, merchandising role
•Solid I.T skills including excel.
•Strong communication skills, in particular dealing with Far East suppliers.
•Exceptionally well organised with good attention to detail.
