Job summary A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Educator to work alongside our clinical teams to support the provision of high quality, safe and compassionate care. The education team in the Clinical Directorate provides education and training to hospice nurses, hospice care assistants and volunteers. You will have experience of working within palliative or end of life care as a senior care assistant ideally in the community and / or care setting. We are seeking someone who can develop creative approaches to the delivery of learning and support the Practice Educator develop a learning culture. Main duties of the job To support, facilitate and direct on palliative care education in a variety of care settings as part of the Hospice Education collaborative across the Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) Integrated Care System (ICS). Provide education and training for those who work in the hospice and those external to the hospice as required. Coach and support the palliative care health and social care workforce within the Hospice and community setting, inclusive of care homes, domiciliary care agencies and the volunteer / charity sector. Support, facilitate and direct ongoing education to the public and our patients and families, through a public health approach (using the compassionate community's model) ensuring all communities are considered.
