MEB Building Services is a family-run Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor based in Sittingbourne, Kent. Our projects are predominantly high rise residential developments located in London and the southeast. We have a great team of committed and qualified operatives who offer a seamless service from pre-tender to customer care.
The role is office based in Sittingbourne where you will sit within the design team. You will develop and design electrical systems for various high rise residential schemes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Typically taking stage 3 and 4 designs to an installed stage 5+.
Your role will include:
1. Producing design packages, including cable calculations, schematics, layouts, and specifications for electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.
2. Coordinating design into drawings for construction using AutoCAD and REVIT.
3. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs with other building services.
4. Providing electrical technical support and guidance to other team members.
5. Participating in project meetings where necessary and communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and other team members.
6. Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
Required Experience:
1. Proven experience in electrical design engineering, within the building services sector.
2. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design tools.
3. Strong understanding of electrical design principles, standards, and regulations.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
