Job Title: Key Stage 3 Teacher Location: Kirklees Contract Type: Long Term Leader Education are recruiting a Key Stage 2/3 Teacher to work within an alternative provision based in Kirklees. This role involves teaching a range of subjects, so a broad knowledge of the curriculum is essential. The school supports pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), so experience working with SEMH students or vulnerable individuals would be highly beneficial. You will need to be able to confidentally differentiate the work needed for each student to maximise on individual education plans. The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is for at least one school term. Leader Education is committed to finding adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you. The successful teacher will have: Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications. (PTTLS may be considered) A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one. Previous experience as a Secondary teacher. Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice and guidance to pupils. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals. Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various learning type and abilities, striving towards social and academic development.
