As a Data Quality & Governance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring we pro-actively manage the quality, accuracy, and usage of our data assets effectively to drive efficiency and effective decision-making.
Working within our Data & Business Intelligence Team, you will embed the measurement and monitoring of data quality (and other associated data risks) across our Global platforms and facilitate pro-active and corrective activity to ensure data quality is managed. This role will also cover wider data governance elements over time.
What that means day to day:
* Provision of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the overall quality of our data and track progress towards defined goals and objectives.
* Creation of automated data quality reporting and ad-hoc data analysis to identify data quality issues across our platforms.
* Facilitation of pro-active and corrective activity to ensure data quality is managed across our wider business.
* Develop and implement data quality standards, procedures, and controls including regular assessments of data quality and definition of corrective measures.
* Maintain a Data Issue & Risk Register and report to management on progress against agreed data quality metrics.
* Evaluate existing and new data for accuracy, completeness, and usability to ensure appropriate use.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
* Work closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate data-related risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Support the development and implementation of data governance strategies, policies, and processes related to data quality and compliance.
* Support the provision of a governance framework to ensure that Alcumus data is being used in accordance with the defined policies and procedures.
* Strong data analysis skills (SQL would be an advantage), Excel is essential.
* Proficiency in documenting data quality rules, procedures, and reports.
* Advanced knowledge in data quality and governance metrics and measurement.
* Experience in a similar role with a particular focus on data quality.
* Experience of using data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
* Excellent communication ability (verbal and written).
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
What you’ll get in return:
* Experience of data management tools and platforms used for data quality assessment, data profiling, and metadata management.
* Experience with SQL queries and relational databases for data analysis and validation tasks.
* Awareness of data protection regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
