Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Stafford Park for a Transport Administrator on a temporary to permanent contract.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday
40 - 50 hours per week (flexibility required)
8:30am - 6pm/6:30pm
1 x Saturday in 4 (after training) - 3 hours
Pay
£12.25 per hour
Description and key responsibilities as a Transport Administrator:
* Handling customer enquiries from telephone and email
* Providing rates and processing customer bookings
* Network vehicle scheduling and routing and assisting on general fleet routing
* Monitoring delivery performance and advising customers of issues effecting on time completion.
* Building and maintaining good working relationships with team members, customers and drivers.
* Other duties that may arise from operational requirements
* Supporting 50+ drivers as well as customers
Qualifications and skills required as a Transport Administrator:
* Minimum of one year previous experience in a transport administration role
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Reliable, flexible, hard-working and positive
* Ability to take initiative when it comes to your workload and prioritising tasks.
