We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse or physiotherapist with a specialist interest and experience in respiratory care to join our well-established and friendly team.
Car owner/Driver is essential.
Main duties of the job
The Integrated Respiratory team work across both hospital and community settings, providing specialist respiratory acute inpatient care and ongoing community support.
The successful candidate would join a team of multi-professional respiratory clinicians working together to provide a holistic model approach to good respiratory care, providing:
1. Acute inpatient management
2. Supported early discharge
3. Admission avoidance
4. Respiratory virtual MDT clinics
5. Community MDT clinic
6. Respiratory Nurse & Physio clinics
7. Respiratory Physiotherapy - home exercise programme, chest clearance and dysfunctional breathing
8. Home oxygen assessment & review
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To establish and develop respiratory specialist practice in the multi-disciplinary management and care of adult patients with a respiratory condition, including COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis and Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD).
The post holder will develop a good understanding and knowledge of long-term respiratory diseases and management, and gain the ability to work autonomously within the supportive environment of an experienced team.
Working as part of the Integrated Respiratory Team to provide holistic patient-centered care which is focused on ensuring care is seamless, proactive and coordinated across the hospital and community setting.
To support the management of patients with Chronic Respiratory Disease and ensure a seamless integrated respiratory service between the acute and community setting.
To contribute to admission avoidance, acute inpatient assessment & review, early supported discharge, outpatient clinics, community MDT clinics, Virtual MDT clinics, community home assessments and home oxygen assessment & review.
To work within the multi-disciplinary team providing a holistic approach to good respiratory care, delivering high impact respiratory interventions across the pathway.

Qualifications
* HCPC Registration - Respiratory Physiotherapist
* Honours degree or equivalent - Respiratory Physiotherapist
* First Level Registration - Respiratory Nurse Specialist
* Evidence of continuing education and development - Respiratory Nurse Specialist
* Member of CSP - Respiratory Physiotherapist
* Member of a specific interest group e.g. ACPRC - Respiratory Physiotherapist
* ENB 998 – Teaching and Assessing/Mentor Preparation - Respiratory Nurse Specialist
* Degree or relevant other Respiratory qualification or willingness to work towards - Respiratory Nurse Specialist
Knowledge
* Post qualification clinical experience in respiratory care - Respiratory Physiotherapist
* Achieved core skills in all core junior rotations, including specialty areas - Respiratory Physiotherapist
* Post qualification clinical experience in respiratory care - Respiratory Nurse Specialist
* Recent experience of learning and development - Respiratory Nurse Specialist
