We are looking for a Corporate Counsel to support the AWS sales and marketing teams in Taiwan.

Key job responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on strategic technology service agreements with commercial and public sector customers. Additionally, the candidate will provide legal support for local initiatives, offering ongoing legal counsel, regulatory interpretation and guidance for senior executives and other business and legal team members on a variety of matters related to operations, security, compliance, and public policy. This role also includes participation in other legal team projects, managing legal issues in existing relationships, and addressing customer and business inquiries.

The position is based in Taiwan. Some travel may be required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- J.D., LLB or equivalent degree.
- Licensed to practice law in Taiwan and/or US, UK or other common law jurisdictions.
- Significant post-qualification legal experience (6+ years), including experience in Taiwan and relevant understanding of applicable Taiwan laws and regulations.
- High degree of independence, initiative, judgment and creative thinking, as well as a desire to be challenged.
- Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in Taiwanese Mandarin and English, with advanced proficiency in both spoken and written communication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with cloud computing, IT infrastructure and telecommunications.
- A combination of experience in an In-house department at a technology company and private practice.
- Significant technology transactional and regulatory experience.
