Darul Madinah, an Islamic schooling system with centers throughout the UK, is looking to recruit a Primary School Teacher to join their enthusiastic and highly motivated team at Dar ul Madina. We are an OFSTED regulated nursery. We deliver the EYFS (key stage early learning stage) and the basic understanding Islamic curriculum to your child. The Role:
o To provide safe, high-quality education and care for the children.
o To supervise classroom TA staff on a day-to-day basis.
o To ensure a high standard of physical, social, and intellectual education and care for children placed in a school classrooms.
o To supervise and support other personnel within the classroom.
o To manage the day-to-day running of the classroom in terms of delivering lessons plans based on national curriculum guidelines.
o To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g., daily attendance register, accident, and incident book.
o To support the HT and DoE in cases of staff grievances, to assist in and ensuring they are promptly and amicably resolved.
o To raise any concerns to the attention of the relevant authorities.
o To ensure copies of lesson plans are stored in office files, for retention and use by the HT/DoE/School Management at times of HMI visits, planning, etc
o To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.
o To be a key person to a group of identified children. To identify any difficulties in relation to their progress and achievement.
o To plan with the classroom Teaching Assistants the daily / weekly programme of activities and events
o Ensure a regular record is maintained on each child's progress through an appropriate pupil tracking package as approved by HT/DoE
o To work with other staff to develop and implement any ‘EHC Plans’ needed for children within the school.
o To be aware of and carry out duties in fulfilling the policies and procedures of the setting in relation to the safeguarding of the child e.g., Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Child Protection, etc.
o Ensuring that school policies relating to, for example, homework, uniform, discipline, etc are adhered to.
Essential Requirements:
o NVQ level 2 in Childcare or equivalent
o An understanding of child development, 4+ years
o Ability to keep records pertaining to individual children

o First Aid certificate

Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Hours of work: Part-time/Full-time with flexible option.
Pay: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
Holiday entitlement: Pro Rata

Start Date: As soon as an enhanced DBS is received, and Mandatory online modules have been completed by the candidate.
