About the role
As our Head of Marketing, you will report to the Hamilton General Manager and be responsible for driving and implementing marketing strategy for SkyCity Hamilton within Group frameworks and ensuring robust plans and partnerships are embedded to deliver optimum returns from site wide activity. You will have responsibility for developing marketing plans and promotional calendars, advertising programmes, and leveraging sponsorships and events to promote SkyCity Hamilton favourably within the community.
This is a Full-Time opportunity, working 40 hours per week. Flexibility is vital to meet business needs, therefore work outside of standard office hours will be required. In return, flexible working options are available.
About you
As an experienced marketing professional, you'll have demonstrated leadership capability and an ability to deliver through others, a strong customer and community focus, and a solid background in developing and executing strategies to build market share, improve brand favourability, media results and business profitability. You'll be dealing with a range of stakeholders, so your ability to build professional relationships at all levels and effectively influence will be paramount.
To be successful in this role, you will:
1. Have significant marketing experience within a customer-focused organisation with a minimum of three years at a senior level
2. Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies/campaigns/promotions that have resulted in increased visitation, increased revenue, and favourable brand awareness
3. Have demonstrable leadership capability including strategic thinking and project management, and the ability to turn ideas into action
4. Be approachable and an authentic leader with direct experience leading, motivating, coaching and developing a team
5. Be customer and delivery focused with the ability to work with stakeholders and partners at all levels, internally and externally
6. Have experience in producing end to end promotions in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment with a proven ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines, but also the ability to pivot as needed
7. Have a good credit and criminal history - the role will require a gaming licence so these checks will be done
8. A relevant tertiary qualification is preferable
