Your main role will be to : ensure personal and team safety and promote this culture. participate in departmental and site safety initiatives. undertake all mechanical work as required. work closely and in collaboration with the Mechanical Workshop Coordinator and the Workshop Leader. liaise with the Shift Production Leader on production priorities. comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP's) and permits to work where appropriate. monitor the Engineering Requests (ER's) and carry out appropriate tasks. carry out plant checks as defined. - when necessary, work overtime and planned shutdowns. - when requested be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security or production equipment breakdowns. participation in the Engineering call out system. comply with the company and engineering quality procedures. comply with the Company's Code of Conduct You will need: a Mechanical Trade Apprenticeship a Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or 5 years experience in mechanical engineering) a forklift licence is desirable Benefits 34 days annual leave (incl of public holidays) Pension reduction in memebership such as the gym and many more Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
