Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Salary/Rate: £50,000 to £60,000
Verso Recruitment is proud to be working alongside an established engineering business, based in Fareham, who specialise in technology used across a range of industries. They design and manufacture a range of complex electro-mechanical products and are investing in R&D/product design.
This is an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to work in a small team, allowing project ownership and ability to work across complete project lifecycle.
The role demands a meticulous Electrical Design Engineer to take charge of designing low voltage AC/DC systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency and reliability. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming concepts into tangible designs, utilizing SolidWorks Electrical to produce detailed schematics and system layouts.
Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in SolidWorks Electrical or similar CAD software
- Proven experience in designing low voltage AC/DC systems
- A strong understanding of electrical principles and safety standards
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications including cable and connector assemblies
- Experience with component selection
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with cross-functional teams
- A proactive approach to continuous professional development
