Post Title: Speech and Language Therapist Band 6
Location: Inverness
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Duration: Fixed Term for 12 months

Salary: £39,912 - £48,635 p.a. Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: In accordance with national, Highland Council and NHS Highland policies and guidelines, the post holder takes a lead role in assessment of pre-school and school-age children with speech, language, and communication impairments within the Neurodevelopmental assessment service in the Highlands. The role includes:
1. Participating in audit, research, and service development.
2. Providing training to other professionals.
3. Supervising the work of support workers and students.

Requirements
1. Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification.
2. Licence to practice as a Speech and Language Therapist as issued by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
3. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
4. The post holder is required to have postgraduate qualifications/training on a range of relevant specialist courses.
