Main Duties of the Job
* Support the provision of an Information Analysis Service to Clinical and Non-Clinical staff.
* Undertake audit and validation of data within Trust Information systems.
* Perform analysis of data in response to ad-hoc requests.
* Maintain and develop external relationships.
* Communicate trend analysis of data to stakeholders.
* Lead the development of predictive modelling and analytics.
* Support the Head of Information & Business Intelligence.
* Liaise with external agencies for information requirements.
* Ensure departmental documentation is kept up-to-date.
* Champion improvement of data completeness and accuracy.
* Ensure trust in department data through validation of reports.
* Lead programmes to embed data driven decision making.
* Assist in the development of reports and dashboards.
* Report to senior management on KPI performance.
* Help develop Information Analysts.
* Lead project work to improve departmental efficiency.
* Create and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
* Participate in personal development reviews.
* Support corporate information requirements.
* Participate in Information management Groups.
* Assist in the development of robust service improvement solutions.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
* Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in data analysis.
* Evidence of CPD/Informatics related qualifications.
Knowledge & Experience Essential
* Extensive experience in a data analysis role.
* Experience in a busy Information Department.
* Database experience and writing SQL queries.
* Experience of BI Tools (e.g. Power BI, SSRS, Tableau).
* Proven ability to work with operational teams.
* Experience supporting clinicians and management.
* Ability to work on tight deadlines.
* Effective communication skills.
* Knowledge of NHS information systems.
Skills & Attributes Essential
* Advanced use of SQL and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple workflows.
* Ability to translate non-technical requirements into technical solutions.
Other Desirable
* Member of an Informatics professional body.
