Medlock Partners are delighted to be partnering with a successful, rapidly expanding SME Technology business based in Manchester, as they look to recruit an L&D People Partner. In this role you will be responsible for shaping talent management, succession planning, and leadership development strategies. You will work closely with the leadership team providing expert advice, coaching and strategic guidance to support transformational change. This will include a mix of strategic thinking and operational delivery. You will shape and implement talent management, succession, leadership and development strategies by driving diverse pipelines, coaching leadership, supporting employee growth, and building inclusive, high-performing teams. Employee experience, culture and engagement will be key to your role. You will partner with leaders to promote an inclusive, engaged workplace, leveraging data and insights to drive action planning and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities of the Learning Development & People Partner : · Develop and lead the L&D strategy to create a high-performance culture through effective performance management, development initiatives, and talent planning. · Collaborate with the People Director and leaders to design and implement a talent and succession framework, ensuring organisational skills, behaviours, structures, and processes align with the company strategy. · Conduct learning needs analyses to identify team requirements and design tailored leadership programmes and cost-effective training solutions. · Use innovative ideas to bring training sessions to life. · Promote L&D programmes that enhance organisational capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement, while advocating for a coaching culture to support employee growth and professional development. · Leverage data insights to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives and drive continuous improvement. · Manage engagement tools and provide actionable insights for leaders using analytics. Due to the growth of the business, the People Director requires support with Business Partnering, this will include: · Partner with designated areas of the business to provide HRBP support on a wide range of areas including advice in line with best practice, company policy and legal requirements in terms of performance management and ideally ER caseload. Key requirements of the Learning Development & People Partner: · At least 5 years’ experience as L&D practitioner preferably within a professional services or tech environment. · Solid understanding of UK employment legislation and best practice (essential). · Successful track record in learning & development operating in a multisite role. · Demonstrated success in partnering with the business to drive employee engagement. · Skilled in employee listening/voice strategies, data analysis, and aligning initiatives with business strategy. · Some experience in a Business Partnering capacity, ideally with exposure to ER cases. · CIPD qualification is preferred but not essential.
