The post holder should share good practice and innovation with colleagues, prepare and deliver training to the relevant target audience, including medical devices and FFP3 support and contribute toward the development of policies and procedures and clinical audit. The post holder should actively participate in the education programmes within the theatres through design, development, implementation, evaluation, and review programmes of education that enable registered nurses and non-registered staff to acquire and maintain the necessary skills to safely care for theatre and recovery care. Education programmes will support staff recruitment and retention and there should be robust induction for all new clinical staff. It is important to record and maintain an accurate and current record of staff development and attendance at courses, conferences and training days, including mandatory training in support of the Lead Practitioners.
