I am seeking an experienced Senior Events Manager with special events experience, preferably within a fundraising environment. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in event management, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. Day-to-day of the role: Lead and manage the philanthropy and special events teams, ensuring effective development, wellbeing, and performance through regular appraisals and reviews. Collaborate with the Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communications to shape the strategic direction, manage budgets, and set KPIs for the teams. Develop and implement a strategy for innovative and unique special events, engaging key stakeholders and audiences. Oversee the planning and execution of special events, staying informed about sector trends and opportunities. Support sponsorship proposals and engage with the wider fundraising team to identify sponsorship opportunities. Assist the Philanthropy Manager in crafting and executing a philanthropy strategy, focusing on stewardship and portfolio development. Drive income growth through innovation and networking, and collaborate with corporate and trust managers to maximise stakeholder opportunities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in a special events management role, preferably within a fundraising environment. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders. High level of attention to detail and proficiency in project management. Experience in budget management, including writing and forecasting income and expenditure. Understanding of the Code of Practice and GDPR. Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use, or access to reliable transport arrangements.
