JOB DESCRIPTION PwC continues to invest and grow our Workforce business across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly growing pensions team as an employee benefits specialist, working closely with our DC & DB pension consulting and Risk & Regulation teams. Our Employee Benefits team sits within our Workforce network, as part of our wider Tax and Legal practice. Workforce is built up of specialist teams who provide advice and support to manage organisational and people challenges, delivering tailored solutions to each of our clients. As part of the Employee Benefits team, you'll help clients ensure that their benefits and the way their employees are provided for is aligned to corporate strategy, is cost effective and best supports employee wellbeing, performance and retention. The employee benefits landscape is constantly changing. Your knowledge will help high-profile organisations, entrepreneurs and family businesses understand complex rules and make informed decisions of the impacts on their employees. You’ll experience a unique opportunity to develop your career as you support corporate clients in a variety of ways, helping them solve complex and technical issues as well as advising on the overall design/provision of their pension offering. As a Senior Manager within the business, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the shape of the business, including proposition development and leadership. You will actively contribute to the growth of the business and drive new revenue streams.
As part of the team you’ll be actively encouraged to consult, to share specialist knowledge and new ideas as we continue to innovate to deliver best in class service. Responsibilities include the following;
1. Lead the delivery of employee benefits projects to a broad range of different clients.
2. You will manage a portfolio of existing clients, dealing with all client activity, review/preparation of reports, communications, provider contracting terms, etc. Maintain regular client contact, acts as a primary point of contact or point of escalation.
3. Delegate work to Managers and Senior Associates within the Workforce team, providing relevant training, ongoing support and personal development.
4. Use your initiative and liaise effectively with other consultants, playing a key role in managing and developing clients.
5. Manage ongoing relationships with the providers, act as a main point of contact and monitor activity.
6. Undertake internal risk management activity to support new projects, working with the Client Administrators to ensure all risk is maintained.
7. Ensure compliance with internal processes including any FCA regulated activity.
8. Provide business development support, helping drive client campaigns and proactively drive opportunities and the overall proposition.
Essential skills and experience
9. Experience with Employee Benefits (including flexible benefits). Great knowledge and technical awareness of EB products (Healthcare and Risk).
10. Experience of advising clients regarding their UK Healthcare arrangements, including trust-based and insured schemes.
11. Experience of advising clients regarding their UK group risk products, including knowledge of individual insurance arrangements.
12. Experience of advising clients around global benefits provision.
13. Demonstrate the ability to be consultative and pragmatic in client strategy and delivery.
14. Knowledge of employee benefits market trends, within the UK and globally.
15. Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to distil technical language (industry jargon) for non-experts (clients and colleagues).
16. Experience with managing people, including oversight of work, delivery, coaching and collaboration.
