Are you a confident and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a new challenge? Then this may be the opportunity for you. We are seeking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join one of our diverse Specialist Primary Schools based in Wakefield (WF3). You will become part of a supportive staff team, promoting a safe and nurturing learning environment that caters to the individual educational needs of primary aged children with a range of SEND and SEMH needs. You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role or a keen interest in expanding your professional skillset in Specialist Provision.
The Primary School caters for children aged 5-11 years with additional needs, including Autism, VI, HI, physical disability and medical needs. Operating across two sites, they offer adapted and well-resourced learning that ensures positive experience, progression and confidence building within a safe space. The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team of dedicated staff. If you are committed to working with pupils who have severe and complex learning needs and are willing to undertake appropriate training, then we would like to hear from you!
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role depending on experience.
We are seeking a candidate with:
* A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEND pupil progression.
* Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
* A warm, nurturing and supportive approach.
* An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
* Right to Work in the UK; unfortunately, we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
