As the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will work under the direction of the Production Manager. You will plan and execute improvements, repairs, and preventive maintenance on molding and machining equipment, as well as our facility in Whitby Ontario.
Additionally, you will support manufacturing to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and overall profitability, by developing our processes with communication and constant support.
Duties & Responsibilities

3. Promote and direct good safety and housekeeping practices within the facility.
4. Utilize ERP systems and other technology to prepare reports for planning, performance monitoring, and issue identification.
5. Maintain accurate records, including production reports, inventory data, safety logs, and employee performance records.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, equipment performance, and quality while reducing costs and optimizing operations.
7. Participate in special projects that align with the overall goals of the department and organization.
8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in daily operations.
9. Monitor and evaluate the performance of maintenance activities to achieve continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you will need
1. Minimum 3 years of combined industrial, mechanical, and electrical experience is REQUIRED!
2. In-depth knowledge and troubleshooting of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
3. High school diploma required, with a preference for a 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent; certifications in Advanced Hydraulics, Industrial Electricity, Motor Control, & Programmable Logic Controls or equivalent experience highly desirable.
4. Industrial Electrician 442A or 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright license an asset.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong organizational and computer skills.
6. Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Knowledge of ERP Systems and ability to manage projects with internal and external resources.
8. Ability to read technical manuals, electrical/hydraulic schematics, and ladder logic diagrams to understand equipment and controls operations.
9. Previous experience with Injection Presses and Robotic Welders an asset.
10. Knowledge of legislated standards.
11. Experience installing manufacturing machinery including placing cable trays, pulling insulated wires or cables to mount and hook up transformers, disconnects etc. in 120/240/600v applications.
12. CSA approved Steel Toe Boots and Clear criminal background check.
13. This role is very physical. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs, able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
14. Experience with automation integration and troubleshooting.
15. Strong applied knowledge of computerized and robotic machinery (ex. Fanuc, Panasonic G, ABB controls).
Remuneration dependent on experience, skills, and qualifications.
