An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Medical Statistician & Statistical Programmer to join the UKCRC fully registered Derby Clinical Trials Support Unit (Derby CTSU). Derby CTSU actively supports high-quality, multi-centre studies across various disease areas, sponsored by both UK-based and international sponsors.

Main duties of the job
Role Overview: Reporting to the Head of Medical Statistics and Data Management, you will:
1. Lead a statistical consultancy service for researchers.
2. Support investigators in trial design, funding application development, statistical analysis, and report writing for publications.
3. Develop and apply advanced statistical programming to enhance service improvement initiatives and optimize processes.
4. Manage and mentor a team of medical statisticians.

16. MSc in Medical Statistics or an equivalent degree
17. Proficiency in Stata programming, specifically in writing .ado and .dlg files
Experience

18. Significant experience as a medical statistician/statistical programmer in a CTU or similar organization in the UK
19. Experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team
