Job Opportunity: Speech & Language Therapist
Salary:
£29,475 - £35,049 (newly qualified)
£44,768 - £49,927 (independent practitioner)
Additional £1,000 Retention Bonus
Role Overview: As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering interventions for students aged 5-19. With a caseload of around 20 students, all facing severe social communication difficulties and complex learning disabilities, including autism, you will be instrumental in fostering their independence and enhancing their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver therapy sessions in small groups and one-on-one.
2. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Dramatherapist, Music Therapist, and Therapy Assistants.
3. Implement our embedded therapies approach, working closely with educational staff for a comprehensive support system.
4. Provide support to both day and residential students.
5. Manage a caseload, set termly targets, and assess students on admission and for annual reviews.
6. Supervise Therapy Assistants.
7. Participate in Team Teach positive behaviour support training.

3. HCPC registered and a member of RCSLT.

Flexibility:
This term-time only role offers flexibility for part-time work. Full-time hours are compressed into term time plus 5 in-service training days each academic year.
