We operate 24/7; therefore, you are required to work flexible hours, weekends, and participate in an on-call rota. Full training, PPE, and use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our drainage engineers have the right tools, competency, and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes' high standard of operation, regardless of background or previous experience.
Position: Van Pack Drainage Engineer
Location: Chertsey STW, Surrey, Home Counties South
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday (working both earlies and lates), 40 hours, plus every other weekend and on-call
Salary: £37,000 per annum (made up of basic pay, overtime, on-call allowance, and bonuses)

About the Role:
Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer-focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.
1. Travelling to residential sites in a van, around the Home Counties South area powering a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
2. Clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems.
3. Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
4. Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using electro-mechanical and specialist CCTV survey equipment.
5. Rodding blockages.
6. Delivering good customer service.
7. Maintaining good H&S practice while carrying out works.

About You:
The ideal candidate will be hardworking and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of High-Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage. You must have a full UK driver's licence.
