YOUR ROLE
The key focus is to support the implementation and maintenance of the Rail Safety and Quality Management systems, ensuring operational compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes across all Rail Sites. This is to meet legislative, regulatory, policy, and contractual requirements while supporting operations in achieving QSHE targets and objectives.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Operational Rail team in maintaining Rail specific Safety and Quality management systems, ensuring that they are aligned to Rail Regulations, Customer Rail Safety Management plans, policies and procedures and ISO standards.
Support risk management by ensuring suitable and sufficient risk assessments are in place, covering all hazards identified as part of rail activity and that suitable mitigating controls are in place and maintained.
Provide advice to Operations on QSHE matters, Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment plus Learning & Development in support of compliance and achievement of KPIs and Objectives.
Support the Rail team in identification of suitable and sufficient training required to carry out their duties and ensure this is managed effectively.
Lead investigations into Rail incidents (Accidents, Near Misses and Safety Concerns), enabling root causes, identification and implementation of suitable corrective and mitigating actions.
Prepare and present assurance reports to senior management.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
IOSH Managing Safety (required) and NEBOSH NGC (desirable).
Experience in the Rail Industry (Desirable)
Lead Audit Qualified and Experienced (required) - ISO Standards 9001; 14001 & 45001 preferable
Experience within a customer focused environment
Analytical / Report writing / Forward planning skills
