This role is perfect for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a nurturing environment and is eager to support pupils with additional needs across Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with various needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
2. Working alongside teachers and therapists to implement tailored education plans.
3. Encouraging student engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom.
4. Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a calm, structured learning environment.
5. Supporting students' emotional and social development throughout the school day.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will:
6. Have previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEN or school setting.
7. Be patient, compassionate, and flexible in your approach.
8. Be committed to supporting the individual needs of each pupil.
9. Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Reeson Education.
10. Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
