Payroll Administrator Blackburn Permanent - Full time £24,000+ DOE
Your new company: A public sector business operating from the headquarters based in Blackburn, Lancashire is now recruiting for a Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis. Due to development, the business is expanding and searching for a Payroll Admin on a full-time basis working Monday - Friday with flexible working and optional hybrid working after 3 months of training.
Your new role: In your new role, you will be expected to work professionally within the payroll department and deliver a high standard of work within a fast-paced environment, assisting with general administrative duties, along with:
1. Provide support to the Payroll Team ensuring appropriate level of customer service responding in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
2. Accurate input of high volume and complex employee/payroll data into the Electronic Staff Record System, within set deadlines.
3. Prepare and ensure that all payments are made in accordance with National Terms and Conditions unless specific written approval or local variations.
4. Process payments correctly within scheduled deadlines, ensuring all input has been checked for authorisation and accuracy.
5. Undertake validation of documentation prior to input and highlight discrepancies to Payroll Team Leader whilst developing necessary skills.
6. At the direction of Payroll Team Leader and with support from more experienced colleagues, utilise report functionality to identify any payments processed or discrepancies.
7. Support Service Desk Team providing first line support for queries to employees or allocation of emails.
What you'll need to succeed: To be successful in this role, you must be computer literate and have administrative experience along with:
