About the Role:
We are recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join our UK Finance Team. The successful candidate will be required to:
* Prepare monthly reports on the company's financial performance, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
* Assist in the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts.
* Work closely with various departments to gather and analyse data for accurate budgeting and forecasting.
* Prepare detailed costing calculations for the sales team, support with pricing strategies and profitability analysis, across two sites.
* Maintain dashboards and reports for financial monitoring, utilising data visualisation tools.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights that support financial planning and business strategy.
* Perform cost-benefit analysis on proposed projects.
* Conduct thorough financial analysis to support the company's decision-making process.
* Conduct ad hoc analysis and project work as requested by the Finance Manager.
* Assist the Finance Manager during periods when the Management Accountant is on leave.
Key Skills / Attributes / Core Competencies:
* Successful candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in a finance role, ideally within manufacturing.
* Part qualified in AAT/CIMA/ACCA
* Strong communication skills (Essential).
* Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to challenge when required (Essential).
* A capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines (Essential).
* A proactive, flexible, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to work, capable of managing multiple priorities autonomously (Essential).
* Familiarity with Navision (Desirable).
* Costing experience (Desirable).
* Previous exposure to Power Query and/or Power BI (Advantageous).
