Business Support Manager, Office of the Group Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) Band 6
The Office of the Group Chief Nursing Officer (GCNO) is looking for a Business Support Manager to support the Business Manager and Business Unit Directors ("GCNO Business Unit Senior Team") with the day-to-day delivery and management of GCNO priorities and initiatives. The postholder will be an integral part of this team, ensuring that the team is supported to deliver on its priorities and initiatives across the twelve functions.
To ensure you have the correct skills for this role, you must have the following experience:
* Experience of working as an Assistant Business Manager, Business Support Manager, or similar.
* Experience of working in a large and complex organisation in a similar role.
* Experience of working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience of preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes and actions of senior Executive meetings.
* A sound grasp of effective corporate governance and business conduct principles in a complex organisation.
The Business Support Manager provides proactive, comprehensive, high quality and effective administrative, business and operational support to the GCNO Business Unit Senior Team, to ensure the smooth running of the directorate.
Main duties of the job
* Provide administrative, business and operational support to the Business Unit Senior Team and manage specific projects and activities, as directed.
* Provide support with agreed Group-wide meetings, chaired/co-chaired by the GCNO & DIPC, by developing and distributing agendas, accurately minuting and logging/tracking of actions.
* Coordinate bi-monthly visits to wards and departments for Executive and Non-Executive Board members, prior to group Board meetings, through liaison with site teams and Group Corporate Governance.
* Gather and record information for tracking and monitoring performance (e.g. MAST compliance, sickness, annual leave), or reporting/data submissions, as directed by the Business Unit Senior Team and ensure regular oversight at GCNO team meetings.
* Support the Executive Assistant to ensure that Purchase Orders are raised, expense claims are processed and office equipment and consumables are ordered as necessary. Ensure any Purchase Orders submitted to the GCNO are tracked and processed within a defined period, avoiding unnecessary delays.

Person Specification Experience Essential:
