About The Role
As an Accredited Checking Technician in our Outpatient Dispensary in Coventry University Hospital, you will quickly become an integral part of the pharmacy team, with both colleagues and patients relying on you to offer excellent service, healthcare advice and support. Delivering top patient care to ensure they return time after time for all of their healthcare needs will be of top priority, and at the forefront of everything you do.
You will be a key clinical contact within the team, expected (with relevant training) to conduct pharmaceutical assessment and calculations appropriate to patient dosing regimens, this would also include completing counselling on high risk medications. The technician is expected to communicate effectively with the lead consultant, provide feedback on clinical interventions and be a lead for safer care within the store. Lastly, the Technician will lead and support on procurement working with the NHS Procurement lead and wider NHS Trust.

About You
To be a successful Accredited Checking Technician at LloydsPharmacy Healthcare Services you must possess excellent customer service and accuracy skills, as well as the drive and ambition to improve patient care at every opportunity. With this in mind, the opportunity to progress within LloydsPharmacy Healthcare Services is vast, with support and guidance readily available to help you move into a range of roles within the wider business network.
We will only be able to consider you for this position if you have an NVQ 3 Pharmacy Technician qualification (or equivalent) and have completed your ACT qualification. You will also have to be willing to complete a short conversion module for a Lloyd’s Pharmacy certification. You must also be an outgoing, hardworking and target orientated individual with excellent communication skills.
