Job Title: Programme Management Office Administrator
Salary: The starting salary is £33,348 which includes allowances totalling £2,841. The salary is broken down as £30,507 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £32,639 plus a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

This is an exciting new role to work in the Real Estate Development Programme Management Office in supporting the team in the efficiency, governance, and successful delivery of projects.
The Real Estate Development team is made up of engineers, surveyors and project leads who are responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the construction, M+E and energy aspects of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) Estates Strategy.
The PMO key tasks and processes are to ensure the department has a centralised team to assist in maintaining accurate records for each project and be a key point of contact for costs, governance and documentation.
Key tasks will include:
* Support in aligning tasks on a Project Management System, including managing monthly journals, accruals, purchase orders, and ad-hoc queries.
* Assist with benchmarking data for RED projects to ensure effective decision-making as an intelligent client.
* Aid in streamlining processes such as invoice receipting, purchase orders, change control, approvals, project creations, and budget management across functions.
* Assist in determining the future direction and workload, ensuring proper authorizations by the Director and maintaining a log for governance.
* Guide project leads in managing projects effectively from initiation to closure, including accurate accounting of costs and actuals.
* Ensure monthly updates to cost forecasts, error management, and data cleansing for accurate Capital Plan data.
* Lead on all Change Control and Requests, verifying changes, seeking approvals, and maintaining accurate logs and records for governance.
* Collaborate with Project Leads to establish procedures and best practices for smooth project and programme operations within RED.

The successful candidate will need to have a clear understanding of a PMO role and the Project Management systems and processes. The fundamental part of the role will be working with a wide range of Project Leads with varied approaches and experience; therefore, excellent stakeholder management skills are critical. The Real Estate Development team are continuously driving process improvement; therefore, the successful candidate will be a driven individual who has experience in identifying and improving these PMO practices.
* Work experience as a Project Administrator, Project Support, back office function or bookkeeping.
* Project Management system experience.
* Strong IT skills – Excel advanced.
* Process building and organising systems – process mapping, identifying change to drive improvement.
* Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced complex project environment.
* Solid organisation and time-management skills.
