Job Role: Out of school hours Activity Club Manager Location: Castleford area, WF10 Salary: Hourly Overall Purpose of the Post: To manage, oversee and be responsible for the planning, development and smooth day-to-day running of the out of school hours After School and Holiday clubs. Take responsibility for the planning and co-ordination of club activities, ordering and managing snack and refreshments – including staffing and activity co-ordinators. Ensuring supervision and running of the clubs is compliant with Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies and procedures. Create and lead a ‘can do’ proactive culture in a safe, calm and welcoming environment, receiving and recording messages for other staff and monies for a range of school activities, planning, preparing and delivering activities suited to the needs and age range of the children. The post holder will link with the Breakfast Club lead to ensure and develop uniformity across the out of school hours offer. The postholder will be responsible for the promotion and marketing of the clubs and will work closely with the Leadership Team and business support function on this. The post holder will also have responsibility for managing club staff – planning, supervising and monitoring their work. Additionally, managing and overseeing activity partners is a key part of the role. Competencies and other skills required: Ability to resolve problems and issues with children and their carers sensitively and quickly with discretion and integrity. Accurate record keeping, invoice and budget monitoring. Competent in liaising and working with a range of colleagues across school – close working with the school office for budget, marketing and attendance administration. Monitor resources and stock for suitability, wear and tear and safety, and replace when necessary. Control food stock. Ability to follow set procedures as well as use initiative where necessary Requirements: Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy Right to work in the UK Food hygiene in early years settings Experience managing after school clubs/breakfast clubs First Aid Qualification NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent Child Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one At least 2 references we can approach in the last 2 years All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
