This team aims to bring 10x ideas and innovation into tangible form with product-led, customer centric and data-informed ways of thinking and working. Group AI Management and Strategy (AIMS) team is responsible for developing and implementing Group-wide strategic programs across HSBC aimed at accelerating the commercialisation and delivery of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML). Key areas of focus include responsible development practices, common platforms and capabilities, AI technology enablement, governance, and the Group-wide AI Strategy. In this fantastic, new senior role, you will lead Group-wide AI Business Strategy. This is a critical role for HSBC and will harden the Group’s industry-leading best practices in developing and deploying AI/ML responsibly while improving the time to market for development efforts and applying commercial rigor to all of our AI investments. You will form deep relationships with Data Science and Technology leaders across the Group and lead strategic initiatives towards establishing and scaling development efforts to unlock value across the AI portfolio. In this role you will: Develop a detailed knowledge of Global Businesses (GB) and Global Functions (GF) development activities, strategic goals, and challenges. You will also partner with GB/GF development teams to identify “AI Flagships” - opportunities for significant business disruption using AI. Perform product and operational analytics to identify key drivers for scaled delivery of AI/ML across the group. Establish cross-functional working groups to drive delivery of AI Flagships along with central platform prioritisation. Curate the Group-wide Strategy for AI/ML to enable responsible transformation of existing businesses and related processes. Drive commercial rigor across the portfolio of AI investments – creating clear transparency into the ROI of each initiative. Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Extensive Analytics Strategy, Business Development, or Management Consulting experience, with a focus on driving large scale transformation of businesses through analytics and AI/ML in a large, matrix organisation. Strong familiarity with AI/ML or Cloud Service Provider services and capabilities (e.g., EC2, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, Transcribe, GCP Cloud Functions). Keen interest in future tech. Ability to keep abreast of new technology being released to the market. Exceptionally strong programme management, relationship management, and strategic skill sets Adapts to a rapidly changing business and technical environment and comfortable working with ambiguity.
