Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Process Controls Engineer looking for a new career opportunity? Our client, a reputable manufacturer based in the Greater Manchester area, is seeking a talented individual to become an essential part of their dynamic team.
Job Details:
1. Develop, maintain and optimise control systems implementations including operation and maintenance procedures.
2. Participate actively in department/plant safety programs.
3. Design, implementation and testing of control system changes required due to equipment upgrades and new product introductions and process improvements.
4. Function as a troubleshooter to provide technical support to operations and field technicians.
5. Perform system analysis, scoping studies, improvement, front-end design work, and/or collaborate on designs with consultants and contractors.
6. Develop and install advanced controls that ensure line management and plant operators can achieve the optimal run-point for each process to achieve production targets.
7. Support two manufacturing sites – Manchester (80%) and Germany (20%). Some travel to Germany is required approximately 2-3 times a year.
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering (essential)
2. 3-5 years of proven experience in the maintenance of control systems within Chemical or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (essential)
3. Previous experience with Siemens PCS7 DCS platform (essential)
4. Must be willing to travel (essential)
What’s on offer:
1. Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 16:00pm (Must be willing to support after office hours as and when required)
2. Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (doe)
3. Annual leave - 26 days + Bank holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years employment)
