Lead MRI Radiographer

37.5 hrs per week
up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Main duties of the job
As a Lead Radiographer, you will:
* Be proficient with Siemens MRI scanners and have at least 3 years' experience in all aspects of MR including Cardiac.
* Ensure strict patient and staff safety within the MRI environment.
* Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
* Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities.
* Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
* Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach to work.
* Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and team-working abilities.
About us
Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is recognized for its friendly atmosphere, clinical expertise, and high standards of care. The hospital has 2 theatres, a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre, and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialize in elective orthopedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology.
Qualifications
* The successful candidate will be a qualified Radiographer and registered with the HCPC.
Experience
* You will have experience in managing a team of Radiographers or as an existing MR lead within the NHS or Private Health care service in the UK.
* You will be able to demonstrate your ability to take accountability and ownership of developing a department and managing a team.
* The successful applicant will lead on clinical aspects of training and competencies, QA, MRI safety investigations, and ensure that the MRI team is up to date with current practice.
