How you'll make a difference
You will make a difference by supporting the Learning and Development team who work with internal and external training providers to ensure the team’s learning, development and training is accessible to all, is run efficiently with excellent customer service and meets the needs of the council and our communities.
The administration team coordinate events, maintain the learning management system and training records and deal with customer enquiries relating to training courses and other development offered by the team.
What you will be doing
* It will be your responsibility to provide comprehensive administrative support to all stages of the learning journey, from arranging course bookings, updating training records, sending out course joining instructions and collating training evaluation forms.
* As the first point of contact for external providers, scheduling training courses and ensuring all training documents are provided.
* It will be key for you to process cancellations, charges and refunds and for booking rooms.
* You will be the main point of contact and will support employees with navigating the learning management systems, ensuring that clear information and guidance is provided or the issue is escalated to your line manager.
* Regularly, you will collate and maintain records, databases and documents and analyse information to ensure accurate reports are produced.
What we need from you
* You will have an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or Customer Services, or equivalent experience in an administrative role.
* It is essential that you have excellent customer service skills and a strong customer focus in your approach to process and resolve day-to-day problems independently.
* It is essential you have the initiative and judgement to resolve day to day problems independently.
* You will have good attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, error free work and have proven written and verbal communication skills.
What you need to know
* This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week. Your salary will be pro-rated to hours worked.
* This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Kingswood and working from home.
Interviews will be held on Monday 28th April 2025.
