Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 5 or existing Band 6 wishing to specialise in this dynamic clinical area, to join a well-established Acute Stroke team at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital. You will work with the wider MDT to provide high-quality therapy intervention, working towards service improvement and development. To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. Participate in CPD and other departmental activities. Supervise staff in Acute Stroke Unit Setting at a lower grade and students (own discipline). To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, including managing patients in your care and working without direct supervision. Maintain respiratory competencies to facilitate participation in out of hours service as required To deputise for the Band 7 in their absence. Good time management, good organisational skills, a flexible approach, effective interpersonal skills, and problem-solving ability are required. Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and teams practice within the department. Work within Trust Guidelines and CSP Guidelines. To participate in the evening, weekend and statutory holiday on-call duties.
