Job Description: They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join our dynamic department immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5, fostering creativity, innovation, and a love for design and technology. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Organise and participate in extra-curricular activities, including clubs and workshops, to enhance the students' learning experience. Maintain and manage the Design & Technology facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative schemes of work and resources. Stay abreast of developments in Design & Technology education and integrate relevant advancements into teaching practice. Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Design & Technology or a related field. Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level, with a track record of successful student outcomes. Strong subject knowledge and practical skills, with proficiency in using modern design technology equipment and software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
