Temporary Full-Time opportunity (up to six months) to commence in Penrith City Council providing secretary support for the Head of Communications and Head of City Activation, Community and Place. The opportunity: Temporary Full-time opportunity up to six months. This position contributes to the effective and efficient running of the Communications and City Activation, Community and Place by providing professional and confidential support to the Head of Departments as required. The role will also require you to: Work in a team to organise, prioritise and manage the daily office administration functions Prepare and process business and planning documents and reports Prepare draft correspondence on behalf of the Heads of Departments as agreed Coordinate, prioritise and monitor correspondence for relevant Departments, and identify matters which require immediate attention Completing purchase orders for goods and services as well as credit card reconciliation Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including other Council departments and government agencies Monitor the key correspondence and Councillor requests of both departments Essential Criteria Demonstrated experience in office administration and personal assistance, and in maintaining confidentiality Outstanding organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team Demonstrated ability to provide high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service outcomes Proven strong Microsoft Office skills (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Internet and email) Desirable A qualification in Secretarial / Office Administration / Business Management or equivalent Commencing Salary: $76,329.00 - $88,355.00 p.a. 11.5% Superannuation Recruitment process: In addition to a cover letter and resume, applicants are required to submit comprehensive responses to the selection criteria (listed above) as a part of their initial application.
