Senior Quality Engineer | Southport | £45,000 The Opportunity A £Billion leading manufacturer for the Rail sector has a brand-new requirement for a capable Quality Engineer, to join their Southport manufacturing site during an exciting period of growth. With new projects underway including prototypes for major clients including Network Rail, you will play an instrumental role in tightening the reins on quality documentation, identifying any quality issues and improving on KPI reporting throughout the production process, making yourself indispensable to this Group. Responsibilities: Provide guidance on the management, implementation, operation, monitoring and review of the Quality Management System(s) in accordance with business and customer needs, ISO 9001 and any other relevant standards in line with the central Divisional governance. Provide direction and control for the Manufacturing Business Unit regarding manufacturing quality to ensure that products, processes and services meet the quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to Oversee the management of the returns and warranty process for the Business Unit. The Candidate: Experience working within a Quality Engineer post. Able to hit the ground running and work autonomously High competent implementing a QMS, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes from infancy to completion, including what a repeatable/reliable process includes (open to any manufacturing industry) Stakeholder management – confident to deal with supplier base, and tenacious enough to challenge issues with suppliers.
