Base pay range
Competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000, depending on experience.
About the Company:
Our client is a highly respected specialist plastering and jointing subcontractor based in Chichester. Known for delivering exceptional craftsmanship and high standards, they work on a variety of exciting commercial and residential projects. With a growing pipeline of work, they are now seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dedicated team.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of projects. You will manage costs, liaise with clients, and ensure that all work is completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
2. Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
3. Evaluate subcontractor performance and negotiate contracts.
4. Conduct site visits to assess progress and manage variations.
5. Prepare and present detailed cost reports to senior management and clients.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
7. Collaborate closely with project managers and site teams to deliver successful outcomes.
About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (experience with plastering or jointing projects is a plus).
2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and relevant legislation.
3. Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
5. Proficiency in relevant software and strong Excel skills.
6. A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
