Job Description
Within the Europe & North Africa Luxury Development Team, we are looking for a Development Director to participate in the growth of Accor's luxury network in Northern Europe. This person will work closely and report directly to the Vice President of Northern Europe.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the first point of contact for a prospective client with support and assistance from company leadership through the lead management process.
* Build and maintain an extensive network of contacts in the hospitality industry.
* Generate leads, identify decision makers, set up meetings and identify revenue-generating accounts and business potential.
* Source, negotiate and sign management and franchise contracts.
* Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and client satisfaction.
* Generate new business through outbound business development techniques while partnering with the in-house marketing team to target specific accounts.
* Build and maintain relationships with current Accor clients to receive testimonials and potential leads from their contacts, as well as new clients.
* Create, collaborate, and present proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
* Track best practices, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations.
* Attend industry events and networking.
* Work closely with the Accor corporate team to understand company processes, systems, and core competencies.
* Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting potential clients' objectives.
* Maintain records of leads and levels of activity.
* Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience actively negotiating franchise and management agreements.
* A minimum of five (5) years in the hotel industry, with a strong emphasis on feasibility experience.
* Fluent in English; German speaker is a plus.
* Large and established network of owners, investors, franchisees, third-party operators, brokers, and consultants.
* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in hospitality, real estate, or finance-related areas.
* Excellent organizational skills to initiate, organize, and direct your priorities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
* Valuable quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
* Aware and curious about the latest hospitality, residential, and F&B trends.
* Proactive and can demonstrate the strength of a proposal.
