As a Site Manager, you will be working on our SHDF retrofit programme within the social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams. You will be supporting high standard Site Management activities for Planned Works Programmes to Housing properties, delivering best in class customer service, and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operational delivery of planned work/s contract and all associated staff, ensuring contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained.
* Manage internal and external works, including wall cavity insulation, new windows, doors, storage heaters, and roofing, including scaffolding within properties, tower blocks, and working at heights.
* Monitor work programme progression and completion via ongoing site visits to ensure works are adequately resourced, delivered to set quality standards, and completed on time and within budget.
* Manage employees and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations, Mears standard operating procedures, quality assurance accreditations, CDM, and best practices.
* Provide quotations for work, manage costs during work, and ensure final accounts are completed accurately and to budget.
* Carry out onsite inspections, undertake investigations, prepare reports, and offer solutions maintaining continuous improvement.
* Liaise with Design Teams, Client Representatives, and Consultants.
* Ensure good management of employees’ performance, ensuring HR Policies & Procedures are followed.
* Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders.
* Follow and support policies, procedures, initiatives, and work instructions at all times, keeping all supplied company assets in good condition.
* Undertake any other duties as required by the company, provide backup to other site managers, and attend company & client meetings and training sessions as required.
Role Criteria:
* Knowledge of PAS 2035 domestic retrofit.
* EWI Experience.
* First aid at work.
* Social housing refurbishment experience.
* UK Full Driving License.
* Experience working at heights including scaffold inspection.
* Knowledge of housing improvements measured term contracts and Schedule of Rates.
* Experience in managing, monitoring, recording, and reporting of Health & Safety compliance.
* Experience managing sub-contractors.
* Health & Safety knowledge, including COSHH.
* Problem solving & results oriented.
* Ability to negotiate and influence.
* IT literate with confident oral and written communication skills.
* Thorough knowledge of CDM requirements.
* Knowledge of SORs.
