We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students with autism spectrum conditions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As an Autism Support Worker, you will:
* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with autism.
* Assist in the development of social skills, communication, and independence in students.
* Foster a supportive and understanding environment to help students manage their emotions and behaviour.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of each student.
* Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
* Participate in training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in autism support.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with autism, preferably in a school setting.
* Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of young people.
* Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
