We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reading Support Assistant to join our team at a thriving secondary mainstream school in Hounslow. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about education and eager to support students aged 11-16 in developing their reading skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide classroom support, working with students individually, in small groups, or supporting the entire class.
* Assist students with literacy difficulties, including those with dyslexia.
* Implement structured, engaging teaching activities to motivate and enhance students' learning.
* Ensure all pupils have equal access to learning opportunities and promote the inclusion of students with specific needs.
* Employ effective behaviour management strategies to foster a productive learning environment.
* Encourage cooperative interaction among pupils and support their overall development.

The Role :
Teaching Assistant role in the classroom – supporting generally or in a small group – even 1-1
Assisting with READING for students with Literacy difficulties/Dyslexia
Motivate and progress pupils’ learning by using clearly structured, interesting teaching and earning activities.
Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs, both in learning activities and within the classroom.
Use behaviour management strategies, in line with the school’s policy and procedures, to contribute to a purposeful learning environment and encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others
