Forest Operations Technical Support Starting salary: 32,544 Contract type: Permanent Work pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week Interview date: 22/04/2025 Post number: 200540 The role This role is to support the forest operations team deliver their respective programmes. You will be working alongside the Officers, Senior Officers and Team Leader to contribute to the sustainable management of Natural Resources Wales land. You will plan and deliver programmes, within at least one of the following disciplines. (dependant on the scale of geographic programmes). Deliver tactical work programmes and or collate forest and conservation inventory information, maintaining the GIS data, carry out site evaluation, in the delivery of operational programmes. Forest Operations management, including technical advice, programme development and implementation of monitoring, reporting, and ensuring statutory compliance. You will act as the contract supervisor for numerous forestry operations. During this, you ll be responsible for undertaking all necessary site checks and subsequent paperwork for these contracts, including relevant liaison with the customer/contractor. Exles of these operations are harvesting, ground preparation, planting, or miscellaneous chainsaw work. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the NRW office at the above location and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment.
