Position: Clinical Specialist – Long Term Care
Location: Field based – covering the North East

The impact you will have
The role of the Clinical Specialist will be to work in partnership with the Commercial team to drive clinical outcomes with our customer base. You will support promoting improvements in patient outcomes through ensuring best practice principles are transmitted into working practice.
Providing clinical support through the buying process, you will facilitate clinical support both pre and post sales to drive the company strategy to create value for our customers by changing our approach from selling products to helping our customers to get better clinical outcomes, drive operational efficiencies or help them to manage their costs.
* Provide product evaluations and training post sales
* Provide advice and guidance on equipment selection
* Clinical ward walks to match equipment to patient need
* Provide customer education programs, forums, study days and attend national exhibitions
* Carry out pressure ulcer prevalence surveys and outcome related planning and monitoring
* Organise clinical assessments such as ‘Insights’ in line with the agreed regional strategy
* Provide added reassurance and a commitment to improving both clinical and cost effectiveness for our partners and their patients
* Support with the administration of rental equipment including obtaining POs
* Key Stakeholder engagement within our customer base to create reference sites and Arjo ambassadors and KOLs
* Cross functional working within all divisions of Arjo to support sharing knowledge and team building
* Build and maintain close business working relationships with the Sales Support Team in order to support solution selling, new business opportunities, lead generation and maintaining current customer relationships
* Provide ad hoc Clinical Nurse Advisor cover
* Keep up to date with the Arjo product range, attend relevant training, share knowledge and expertise with the team and new colleagues
* Adhere to Arjo Guiding Principles, Code of Conduct, policies and procedures.
* Compliance to UK&I regulations and legislations including Health & Safety, Anti-bribery and completion law
The skills you will need
This role requires you to have an RGN or similar Professional Healthcare Qualification as well as a current NMC registration or equivalent.
You will also need to have experience working within a healthcare environment, ideally in Wound Care as well as knowledge and understanding of the current NHS and Private Hospital sector dynamics in the UK.
You will have an understanding of business planning processes, for example, sales cycle, account planning and product launches, and will be confident in dealing with customers in a variety of different situations, as you will be holding demonstrations, presentations and ward visits on site.
As you will be involved directly with the customer, you will need to have good negotiation skills and be able to handle a range of customer contracts.
This role is field based, therefore you will be required to hold a valid UK Driving Licence and be comfortable with overnight stays as and when they are required.
This role will require you to drive a van or car with trailer to transport demo equipment to the customer.
