Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and dedicated Swimming Pool Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing swimming pools, hot tubs, and associated equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repair work on swimming pools, hot tubs, splash parks, fountains and related equipment.
2. Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs on pumps, filters, heaters, covers, liners, dosing units, and chemical dosing systems.
3. Conduct regular servicing and cleaning of pools and hot tubs, including water testing, chemical balancing, and filtration system checks.
4. Identify and rectify leaks, plumbing, and electrical issues related to pool systems.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, PWTAG, BISHTA, and other relevant industry standards.
6. Provide exceptional customer service, offering advice and recommendations to clients on pool maintenance and upgrades.
7. Complete detailed reports and documentation of work carried out.
8. Assist with refurbishments, emergency callouts, and troubleshooting issues as needed.
9. Support our administration with new enquiries and quotations.
Requirements
1. 2+ years’ of prior experience as a swimming pool engineer or technician.
2. Knowledge of pool filtration systems, pumps, heaters, dosing units, and chemical treatment processes.
3. Understanding of health and safety regulations especially in commercial environments.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
5. Full UK driving licence.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
9. Good understanding of modern workplace technology and job management systems.
10. Industry qualifications (e.g., ISPE Certification, Pool Plant Operator Certificate, or equivalent).
11. Experience working with both residential and commercial pool systems.
